Jesus Omar Gallegos was born in El Paso, TX. He grew up in El Paso’s Lower Valley until the age of 9 when he and his family moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico. He attended Alamogordo High School and joined the United States Air Force five months after graduating. He spent 4 years stationed at Randolph Air Force Base and attended San Antonio College as a part-time student.

After completing his tour in the Air Force he was accepted to The University of Texas at Austin and the Red McCombs School of Business where he Majored in Marketing and Minored in Management Information Systems with a concentration in Online Marketing. While at UT Austin, Mr. Gallegos studied abroad in Sao Paulo, Brazil for 6 months at Fundacao Getulio Vargas Business School.

He has worked in Administration, Human Resources, Advertising, Marketing, Sales and Finance. Companies he has worked for include InnTerActive Marketing, JPMorgan Chase, AmeriNet Mortgage, Homevestors and the Austin American-Statesman. He speaks Spanish and Portuguese and has investing experience in Financial Instruments, Real Estate and Insurance. Some of his favorite activities include playing and coaching soccer, guitar, entrepreneurship, travel, surfing, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Leann Dindsdale

LeAnn Dinsdale grew up in a little town in northern Montana. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Distributive Education from the original Montana State University in Bozeman. Ms. Dinsdale then moved to Iowa and married a farmer. She learned how to drive tractor, castrate & vaccinate cattle, milk cows, make hay and other farm activities. She has worked at a convenience store, a chiropractic clinic, a grain elevator, hotel, and car dealership

In 1996, she went back to school to update her teaching certificate to become a full-time teacher. She taught sales and marketing for one year at Oelwein High School but was forced to resign due to budget cuts. In 1998, Ms. Dinsdale decided to be adventurous and moved with her children to Portland Texas to teach business. She was tired of shoveling sidewalks and driveways in the winter! She has taught at Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Gregory-Portland High School, and most recently Tuloso-Midway High School.

Ms. Dinsdale has served on many professional organizations. She has served on the MET board, the Texas DECA Board of Directors, and is currently serving as the vice-president of the Marketing Education Division of the Association for Career & Technical Education (ACTE). She has been a DECA advisor for 13 years and says that DECA has taken her so many places as well as introduced her to many people. She would like to encourage everyone to get involved with DECA and see where it will take you

Ms. Dinsdale has three children who are on their own paychecks. Her oldest son is married and works in Austin. Her daughter is a certified athletic trainer in Clemson South Carolina. Her youngest son still lives at the house in Portland and is planning on getting married next summer. She likes animals–I have 2 cats, 3 dogs, and 3 aquariums.

She is currently enrolled online with Texas A&M-Kingsville and working toward a Global Masters of Business Administration.
